The annual Thanksgiving Feast takes place on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day.
Early childhood, elementary, and middle school students attend the feast beginning at 11:00 A.M. Due to space considerations, only one adult per family may dine with the students. An invitation and response slip will be sent home to each family early in November. Please respond promptly with the name of the guest from your family so that accurate seating arrangements can be made.
Children and teachers prepare a traditional Thanksgiving feast with turkey and all the fixings, hand-designed place cards and holders, a series of murals to illustrate their ideas, and a selection of songs, performed by our school chorus, that echo the spirit of this event.
The Feast is a culminating celebration of the fall curriculum, in which students in the Elementary School and Middle School Programs share what they have studied. This event sets the stage for the ideas that will inform the academic pursuits of the year.
It is of great significance for the children to celebrate with their classmates, their families, and the community. The Feast ends at noon. Therefore, please make any arrangements for holiday travel after that time to ensure that you and your child will be able to attend this joyous and meaningful event.
