Welcome to our 53rd Annual Gala–beDazzled!

Tonight, we celebrate the brilliance of our Studio community—all of you, the dedicated individuals whose passion, generosity, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of education make our school shine. What began as a spark of ideas, thoughts, feelings, and dreams in a one-room schoolhouse, has ignited into a beacon of innovation, proving not only what a school can be, but what education, at its very best, should be.

In a time when education is being politicized and shaken from the outside in, the values of a Studio education and our commitment to thinking, curiosity, authenticity, and collaboration have never been more important.

Whenever someone walks through the doors of Studio, be it for a day or they stay twelve years, they immediately sense that something remarkable and special happens here to enhance all our lives. To engage in the educational experience at Studio, with all the the layers and complexities of our approach, is to beDazzled.

Throughout the time a child spends at The Studio School, we are intrigued and delighted to witness what it means to raise a child from the inside out, with faculty and staff who deeply care and thoughtfully strengthen the secure core of self, honoring the beauty and individuality of each person. Each child’s intrinsic curiosity is guided to develop their minds and to deepen their thinking in multiple ways. We find and hone the qualities and abilities of each student as they learn individually and in a group, fostering an inner radiance that shines through in their confidence, their work, their relationships, and their sense of belonging. It is in the quality of our care and attention, through unique educational experiences, that wonder and joy continue to shape, inspire, and beautify all of our lives.

As a leader in social progress and humanistic education, The Studio School empowers children to connect who they are with what they learn, cultivating original, independent thinkers who embrace academic excellence.

The relationships we build throughout our community provide a model for our children. We must come together and work with our children in ways that protect their childhood and respect their timetable for growth. At the same time, we must prepare them for a world that is ever-changing, ensuring they have the skills, confidence, and wisdom to navigate it with purpose and resilience. It is our mission to bring forth the essence and radiance of our most highly educated selves for the betterment of all.

And so, when efforts to sow division are ever-present and are squashing or eliminating education, whether by social media, mind control, or AI, Studio remains unwavering in its commitment to developing minds, connection, and a welcoming community.

As uncertainty shapes the world our children will inherit, Studio equips them with the resilience, conviction, know-how, and courage to lead the way to a more just and inclusive future.

At a time when much is changing so quickly, Studio continues to be steadfast in what matters most— nurturing a generation that is grounded in self-awareness, driven by acceptance and empathy for one another, and empowered to make a meaningful impact with the purpose of creating a more equitable, compassionate, and peaceful world.

From Our Co-Chairs

To be dazzled is to choose hope, to embrace new perspectives, and to find joy in the unfolding journey. More than ever, we see the importance of nurturing a sense of belonging, respect, and appreciation for the richness of our diverse experiences. Our children are watching. They learn not only from what we teach, but from how we show up in the world. And through them, the future takes shape—one built on compassion, integrity, and the courage to dream. Tonight, as we celebrate beDazzled, let us also renew our commitment to raising children who believe in infinite possibilities. Let us teach them to seek beauty, to foster connection, and to embrace the wonder that makes life extraordinary. With all our hearts, thank you for your unwavering support of The Studio School and for celebrating with us tonight.

“We have had the courage to see The Possibility: The Studio School. One dreams, one imagines, one thinks, one ponders, one yearns, one creates. With love, patience, and encouragement, we see the magnificent prospect of what is to become and what a school can be, inspiring us all through the many challenges and concerns of teaching and raising children.”
